Bengaluru has the best weather of any large Indian city and the worst reason to leave your side of it. Traffic is the local currency of effort: agreeing to cross town on a weekday evening genuinely means something, and everyone here knows it. Because a fifteen-kilometre trip can be twenty minutes or ninety, and nobody can tell which until they are in it. Saying 'I'm east' or 'I'm near HSR' up front is not standoffish here, it is considerate. If you genuinely do not mind the drive, say that too — in this city it reads as real interest rather than as small talk.
What does a first date in Bengaluru usually look like?
Coffee, a walk, or a brewery, roughly in that order of popularity. Cubbon Park and Lalbagh do a lot of Sunday-morning work, Church Street and Indiranagar cover the evening version, and the city's café culture means a two-hour first meeting over one cup is completely normal and nobody is being hurried out.
