Four steps, and you are only present for one.
You agree, explicitly
Verification is optional and nothing starts until you say yes. You need at least one photo on your profile already — the check has to have something to compare you with.
An oval on screen
An oval appears and you look into it for a few seconds. It only accepts a real person in front of the camera — a photo held up to it, a video playing on a screen, or a mask will not pass.
Your face against your photos
Your face is checked against the photos already on your profile. One clear match is all it takes.
The tick appears
Straight away — usually in seconds. If it does not pass, you are told why in plain words and you can try again, up to three times a day.
There is no video of you. Anywhere.
This is the part worth being precise about, because "we delete it later" is the usual promise and it is not the promise being made here.
The check happens live, while you are looking at the oval. The video is never saved — not on your phone, not by us.
It is compared with your photos in the moment, and then it is gone. No picture of your face from the check is kept anywhere.
That you passed, and the date. That is the whole record.
There is no "we delete it after 30 days" to take on trust, because there is nothing sitting there to delete.
The tick keeps checking itself.
A verification that only ever ran once would be worth very little a month later, when the photos have changed.
Adding a photo removes it, briefly
Add a new photo and the tick steps aside for a moment, then comes back once the new photo has been checked against your verified face. It is a pause, not a penalty.
A photo with no face keeps it off
A landscape, a car, your dog. If there is no face in it, there is nothing to match, so the tick waits until you remove that photo or verify again.
It cannot be bought
No tier includes it. Pro does not include it and Elite does not include it. The only route to a tick is the camera check.
What the tick actually certifies: that a live person appeared in front of the camera and their face matched the photos on this profile. That is all — and it is a great deal more than an unverified profile offers. It is not an identity document check, not a background check, and not a statement about the person's character. About the tick.
Is verification compulsory?
No. You can use every part of Cosmic Match without it. What it changes is how your profile reads to other people, and the tick appears on your card in the feed as well as on your profile.
My check didn't pass. Why?
The app tells you, in plain words. Usually it is something simple — poor light, your face not quite inside the oval, or the camera moving — or your face did not clearly match the photos on your profile. You get three tries a day.
What if it gets me wrong?
Write to care@cosmicmatch.in and a person will look at it. The tick can be added or removed by hand, so a check that went wrong is fixable.
Does verifying share my face with other users?
No. Other people see the tick, never the check itself. Nothing from those few seconds in front of the camera is shown to anyone or kept.
What happens to the verification record if I delete my account?
It is deleted with everything else. See Delete your account.
