Every photo is screened
A new photo is visible to nobody but its owner until it has been checked. Explicit content ends the account. Violence, hate symbols, drug use and anything borderline are held back and looked at by a person.
If a photo cannot be checked, it waits. An unchecked photo is never shown.
Faces can be verified
The blue tick is a live camera check matched against the profile's own photos. It is optional for the person, and it is information for you: a ticked profile is a person whose face was present, live, and matched what you are looking at.
Adults only
Birth date is checked at sign-up and an under-18 profile is refused outright. If one gets through by a false date, They seem underage is the report reason acted on fastest.
And the part most safety pages skip. Cosmic Match introduces people; it does not vet them. There are no background checks, no criminal record checks and no identity documents. A verified tick proves a face matches a profile — it proves nothing about the person behind it. Screening reduces risk. It does not remove it, and nothing on this page should be read as though it does.
What is yours, and what you can do.
Readable by the two people in it and nobody else. That is enforced by the database itself, not by the app choosing to behave. Nobody on the team reads a conversation that has not been reported.
Other people see a distance in whole kilometres, never finer than 2 km, and never a position. Your birth city is a separate field for the astrology and is not where you live.
Your email address and phone number are never shown to another user. If someone has them, it is because you sent them.
Immediate and permanent in both directions. Neither of you is shown to the other again, and it needs no reason and no explanation to them.
Reporting does not unmatch, and unmatching does not report. They are two buttons on purpose, so getting away from someone and being heard about them are never the same decision.

The person you report is never told. Not that a report exists, not who made it, and not what it said. The conversation stays open and looks exactly as it did — so reporting never tips someone off, and never makes things worse for the person who reported.
The advice is old because it works.
Meet in public, the first few times
A café, a restaurant, somewhere with other people in it and staff who would notice. Not their home, not yours, not a car.
Tell someone where you are
A friend or family member gets the name, the place and the time. Share your live location with them for the evening.
Get there and back yourself
Your own transport, both ways. It is the single easiest thing to arrange and the hardest to arrange later.
Video call first
Five minutes on video settles more than an hour of texting, and it is very hard to fake.
Watch your drink
Order it yourself, watch it arrive, keep it with you. Leave if you feel strange in a way the drink does not explain.
Leave whenever you want
You owe nobody an explanation, a full evening, or a polite exit. Feeling uneasy is a complete reason on its own.

It moves very fast
Intense affection within days, talk of a future, and pressure to move off the app to WhatsApp or Telegram almost immediately. Off the app, none of the protections on this page exist.
There is an opportunity
Crypto, trading, a platform they are doing well on, a group that will let you in. This is the single most common romance scam in India and it never ends with you getting your money back.
There is an emergency
A hospital bill, a stuck payment, a customs fee, a phone about to be cut off. Always urgent, always solvable by a transfer, always to someone you have never met.
Intimate images become leverage
Photos or video are requested warmly and then used as a threat. If this happens: do not pay, keep the messages, report the account here, and report it to India's cybercrime portal.
The camera never works
Endless reasons why a video call is impossible. A person who will not appear on video after weeks of talking is telling you something.
One rule covers all of it: never send money to someone you met on a dating app. Not a loan, not a deposit, not "I'll pay you back tomorrow", not a small amount to prove you trust them. There is no exception, and asking is itself grounds for a permanent ban — see ban guidelines.
