What is prohibited.
Zero tolerance for CSAE
Child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAM), and any content or behaviour that sexualises a minor, is prohibited absolutely. There is no warning step and no second chance: the account ends, the content is preserved as evidence, and the matter is reported.
This applies to photographs, voice notes, chat messages, profile text and anything else a person can put into the app.
Nobody under 18
The app is for adults. A date of birth under 18 is refused at sign-up, and an account later found to belong to a minor is removed — whether we find it ourselves or somebody reports it.
We also ask Google Play to block users it has determined to be minors from downloading the app or subscribing to it.
The checks that run, and the one you can trigger.
Age is checked at sign-up
Birth date is required to create a profile and an under-18 date is refused outright. It is also what the astrology is built from, so it is not an optional field somebody can skip past.
Every photo is screened first
A new photo is visible to nobody but its owner until it has been checked. Explicit content ends the account. Anything borderline is held back and looked at by a person. An unchecked photo is never shown.
Anyone can report, in the app
Every profile and every chat has a report control. They seem underage is one of the reasons, and it is the one we act on fastest — ahead of the queue, not in it.
How to raise a child safety concern.
In the app. Open the profile or the chat, choose Report, and pick They seem underage. You do not have to be matched with somebody to report them, and the person is never told who reported them.
By email. If you cannot use the app, or you are reporting on behalf of someone else, write to care@cosmicmatch.in. Put Child safety in the subject line and it is escalated on arrival.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. In India, call 1098 (Childline) or 112 (emergency), and reports can also be filed at cybercrime.gov.in. Tell us as well, so the account can be stopped — but do not wait for us.
What happens after a report.
A child safety report is treated as urgent and is reviewed by a person, not only by an automated check.
- The account is suspended while the report is looked at, so nobody else is exposed to it in the meantime.
- Confirmed CSAE ends the account permanently, and the account holder is blocked from creating another.
- Evidence is preserved rather than deleted, so that investigators have something to work with.
- We report to the relevant authorities as required by the law that applies to us, and we cooperate with lawful requests from them.
We keep a point of contact who can speak to our CSAE prevention practices and compliance, and who is reachable by Google and by law enforcement.
