India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 asks for a clear notice where information is collected, consent for the stated purpose only, and an easy way to take it back. That is why this form says what it collects and why, and why every email we send carries a working unsubscribe. We collect your city, your email address and, if you give it, your sun sign — and we use them for that one message and nothing else.

What this list is, and what it is not.

How many emails will I get?

One. We write on the day the city opens, and that is the end of it. There is no newsletter and nothing to opt out of afterwards — though every message carries an unsubscribe link anyway, and using it deletes your address from our side.

Do I have to confirm anything?

No. Your place is taken the moment you press the button — there is no confirmation email and nothing to click. The next thing you hear from us is the day your city opens.

What decides when a city opens?

Whether there are enough people in it for the app to be worth opening — enough profiles to see, and enough of a balance between who is looking for whom. The waitlist is one of the things we read, which is the honest reason we are asking.

What do you do with my address?

We send you that one email. We do not sell it, we do not add it to anything else, and we delete it thirty days after your city opens — or after twenty-four months, whichever comes first. Unsubscribing deletes it straight away.
